Elena Ríos’ pattern of confrontations has frequently shifted from professional disagreements to personal vendettas. Whether it’s casting doubts on Judge Eduardo Pinacho Sánchez’s integrity, launching personal attacks against Governor Alejandro Murat, leveling allegations against Lawyer Ana Katiria Suárez Castro, or tainting Actor, Tenoch Huerta’s reputation without evidence, Elena’s retaliatory approach is evident. Even her proven false accusation with the activist group Poder Prieto show her propensity for publicity spreading fake news. In this article, we will delve into Elena’s confrontations, shedding light on the underlying dynamics of a scorned woman who will stop at nothing to tear down innocent people’s reputations.
Legal Confrontations
Prominent feminist lawyer Ana Katiria Suárez Castro once championed Elena Rios’ defense. Suárez Castro, whose reputation was solidified from the Yakiri Rubio acquittal in the contentious 2013 murder trial, initially positioned herself as an ardent supporter of Elena’s case, highlighting its profound societal implications. She fervently argued that the actual perpetrator was still free and implored the Oaxaca Public Prosecutor’s Office to expedite their actions.

However, the alliance became strained because Elena demanded financial compensation that was exorbitant, bringing the reputation of Suárez Castro into disrepute. Elena requested a staggering 90 million pesos to drop the case. A move that many perceived as a dubious financial play. As these details became public, Arturo Peimbert, the husband of Suárez Castro, felt compelled to resign from the case.
Given the potential risks posed by this ‘broken pact’, Suárez Castro may have viewed continued association with Elena as detrimental to her professional standing. Drawing from a recent tweet, Elena publicly accused Suárez Castro of exploiting femicides for personal publicity, casting doubt on Suárez Castro’s feminist integrity. Mind you, Rios was accused of violently assaulting her father’s mistress. It’s speculated that Elena’s attempts to tarnish Suárez Castro’s reputation stemmed from a desire to retaliate for the perceived betrayal.
This rift intensified and eventually became public, causing Suárez Castro to step back from Elena’s case. Following Suárez Castro’s departure from Elena’s case, Dr. Diana Cristal González Obregón, a lawyer with affiliations to the far-right PAN, assumed responsibility.
Rios publically lashed out at Suárez Castro via Twitter. Rios insulted Suárez Castro a fake feminist, while Suárez Castro responded by blocking Rios. Since this, Suárez Castro currently continues to represent victims who suffered violence.
Government Confrontations
Another individual who was on the receiving end of Elena’s public criticism was Governor Alejandro Murat of Oaxaca. Murat was once vocal in his condemnation of the violence against Elena Ríos. He firmly stated that the guilty party would be brought to justice. Yet, under the glare of public attention, Ríos’ financial interactions with the Oaxaca administration drew significant scrutiny. Through Murat, substantial financial support flowed from public funds to aid Ríos, including medical treatments and legal advice.

Yet, it was the emergence of invoices on social platforms that fueled controversy. Despite earlier assertions of working pro-bono, Diana Cristal González Obregón, Ríos’ legal counsel, appeared to have charged an impressive sum for her services. Claims began to surface, alleging that Ríos and González Obregón had amassed millions from the case. This led to the belief that they were both in pursuit of a hefty 85 million pesos (readjusting her figure from the initial 90 million to 85 million) compensation rather than justice. As such, Ríos’s reputation suffered. She was seen not as a victim but as one who could potentially victimize others through fraud and deception for financial gain.

When rumors suggested the Murat administration might reduce the financial aid to Ríos, she retaliated fiercely. Accusing the government of gendered violence, Ríos singled out Governor Murat as a direct aggressor. This act mirrored a growing perception of Ríos as someone quick to accuse when her demands aren’t met.

Medical Contradictions & Corruption
The financial tug-of-war between Ríos and the Oaxaca government further ignited public debate. Contradictions arose as to the exact amount spent on Ríos’ medical rehabilitation. While the government touted a figure of 2.6 million pesos, Ríos countered with a significantly lower 1 million pesos.

The situation became murkier when a social media user, @LagarrapataS22, implicated Governor Murat in a larger corruption scheme, where fictitious employees siphoned off funds. Amidst this scandal, Silvia Ríos, a sibling of Elena, was listed as a “saxophonist” and a potential beneficiary of the said funds. Rumors began to circulate, suggesting Elena might be indirectly receiving a monthly salary via Silvia.
This revelation positioned Elena Ríos in a different light. While she denies the accusation, her potential involvement hinted at a complex web of political alliances within the Oaxacan government. It also came to light that Rios’s brother Carlos Rios Ortiz (who was accused of killing an indigenous teen in 2015) was also a beneficiary of Elena’s financial claim.

These clashes depict Elena as one who potentially wields accusations as a tactical weapon when her wishes are not met. This raises questions about her intentions and actions. Mirroring this trend, Silvia, after disputes with her former partner, also made claims of sexual assault. Such recurrent behaviors hint at a concerning tendency within the Ríos lineage.
Court Confrontations
Amidst this backdrop, Control Judge Teodulo Pacheco Pacheco, presiding over criminal case 533/2019, found himself in Elena’s crosshairs. He rebuffed claims of unfair treatment in the case. Tensions escalated as audio surfaced in Oaxaca’s local media. The audio captures Elena’s sharp rebukes towards the judge, including labeling him as “ignorant”, “corrupt”, and “a paedophile”, casually accusing people of sexual offences. Such baseless and impulsive allegations from Rios reflect a concerning pattern of behavior, where she seems more inclined to tarnish reputations than present factual arguments.

Elena further stirred controversy by expressing her belief that her case warranted the attention of a collegiate court rather than a unitary one. She vented her frustrations about what she perceived to be deliberate delays in hearings. She also asserted they were accommodating the man she accused of planning her acid attack, Vera Carrizal, the married man with whom she had an affair with legal strategies.

Judge Pinacho Sánchez firmly stepped in to refute these accusations. He stressed the importance of the unbiased and systematic approach adopted by the judicial system in designating judges, emphasizing that catering to individual preferences would breach legality and protocol. Addressing Elena’s dissatisfaction about the choice of court, Pinacho elucidated the well-established criteria governing such decisions based primarily on the nature of the crime.
“I have not intervened in any way. Cover-ups or questions about my performance? I deny them.”
Eduardo Pinacho Sánchez firmly stated.
Further dispelling hearsay, Pinacho rebuffed any administrative complaints against Judge María Teresa Quevedo, whom Elena has publicly accused of corruption. He urged the public to approach judicial decisions with an understanding of their rationale and context.
Concluding his statements, Pinacho candidly expressed he remains committed to ensuring justice is served impartially.
The events and Elena’s audacious behavior in the courtroom paint a vivid picture. Were it not for the courtroom recordings, her aggressive and accusatory demeanor, especially her drastic step of labeling the judge as a “pedophile” based on discontent, might have remained under wraps. Elena’s request that the proceeding be closed from the public sheds light on the side of Elena, who seems willing to resort to drastic measures when she feels cornered or doesn’t achieve her desired outcomes.
Activist Confrontations
Following her breakup with activist and actor Tenoch Huerta, Elena Rios directed her anger towards Poder Prieto, the activist group both were associated with. Though Elena had never been a vocal advocate against racial injustices, she became a part of this group that Tenoch passionately supported. Huerta’s involvement went beyond mere affiliation; his dedication to the cause could be seen in his endeavours, such as his participation in UNESCO’s Global Forums against Racism and Discrimination.
However, after the split, Elena made startling allegations. She accused Poder Prieto of owing her money and illicitly using her content.

The depth of her claims appears superficial at best. Poder Prieto had neither produced nor derived any financial gains from the podcast in question. They merely endorsed it, signifying its alignment with their values. When Ríos expressed concerns, the collective promptly denied her allegations, clarifying their non-involvement in its production or profits.

El Feisbuk De La Malinche created the actual podcast. Its finances remained transparent, with all participants, Elena included, in line to receive a modest sum of $50 CAD per episode and the option of attending English classes. Notably, Elena attended three such classes but subsequently withdrew due to other obligations. She remained silent despite efforts to settle her dues. And when she finally raised her voice on June 8th, Poder Prieto acted with integrity, removing all associated content. This episode paints a picture of Elena Ríos as someone perhaps more interested in creating controversies than seeking genuine resolutions.
Political Confrontations
Elena Ríos’ tactics in the public domain are nothing short of controversial, often revealing calculated maneuvers. A notable instance was her very public accusation against Tenoch, timed perfectly 10 days after Tenoch’s meeting with Lopez Obrador. Coincidentally, Elena had been angling for her own meeting with Lopez Obrador, which was denied, triggering her evident fury. Around this period, it was reported that her sister was an “aviadora” in the Oaxaca government. Hence, by accusing Tenoch, Elena achieved a dual purpose—first, an attempt to emotionally manipulate the Mexican president. Secondly, to divert attention from her sister’s questionable activities.
The timing of her accusations against Tenoch on Twitter is also suspect. She tweeted at 1 am, just thirteen hours after a negative “audiencia” about her acid attack. The inconsistency in her narrative the following day raises questions about her mental state at the time of the tweet. The PAN party’s overtures to Elena, especially after the death of Aurora, the PAN congresswoman, and the subsequent shift of Elena’s allegiance to Morena, further illustrates her strategic machinations. The sought-after “fuero institucional” associated with congress, which grants institutional immunity, appears to be Elena’s primary objective. This will give her the potential for long-term power and impunity.

Elena’s track record also includes a pattern of moving between different collectives and causes, akin to the cricket-like hopping implied by the slang “chapulinear”. Stories of burned bridges in her wake are plentiful. There are whispers about her extortion methods, capitalizing on her fame and retaining funds meant for causes. In line with this pattern, her relationship with Tenoch Huerta provides another case in point.
Ex-Lover Confrontations
Despite the ambiguity surrounding their breakup timeline, Elena resorted to her familiar strategy. She branded Tenoch a “predator” during an Astillero Informa interview, a move typical of her penchant for dropping serious allegations, especially against those she perceives as adversaries. She strategically positioned this grave claim towards the conversation’s end, ensuring limited scope for immediate rebuttals or clarifications.

By April 2023, Elena’s affiliations had pivoted. She took a public stance against Poder Prieto, an organization both she and Tenoch were previously associated with. Her criticisms didn’t just target the group’s activities; they took aim directly at Tenoch’s character. By tagging Marvel in a tweet, she deliberately spotlighted her accusations, placing Tenoch’s career in a perilous position.

June 2023 witnessed further escalations. Elena used Twitter as a platform to allege that Tenoch was manipulative and emotionally exploitative and even accused him of “stealthing.” Elena also branded Poder Prieto as a “Tenoch cult.” Crucially, no tangible evidence supported these grave allegations. Elena accused not only Tenoch Huerta but also Raciel Rivas, a cultural promoter, using anonymous sources that were quickly debunked. This suggests she’s ready to tarnish an innocent man’s reputation in her pursuit of vengeance.
A Pattern of Confrontations and Retaliations
Conversely, Elena’s following swelled in the wake of these claims, propelling her towards political aspirations. Elena frequently makes accusations, showing a consistent pattern. Notably, her sister, Silvia Ríos, mirrored this behavior. Following disagreements with her ex, Silvia similarly levied accusations of sexual assault against him. This further highlights a troubling pattern within the Ríos family.
Elena Ríos has repeatedly showcased a tendency to retaliate against those she perceives as antagonists. Often resorting to accusatory narratives that lack substantial evidence. This modus operandi is most evident in her interactions with a range of notable figures:
Ríos’s interactions with these figures highlight a concerning trend. Her readiness to deploy serious accusations against those she feels wronged by, often without evidence to back her claims. This pattern, seen with Eduardo Pinacho Sánchez, Governor Alejandro Murat, Ana Katiria Suárez Castro, Tenoch Huerta, and Poder Prieto, necessitates a more skeptical approach to her narratives.
