You understood the duty, the sacrifice, the fear, the longing and the stubbornness underneath every sharp line.

That is why Season 2 still holds up so strongly for so many people. The chemistry between Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey was electric, but it also worked because Simone made Kate feel like a full person before she became one half of a romance.
