Happy Birthday, Prince Archie! As he celebrates turning 6, supporters of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are marking the moment with purpose. This year, they’ve launched a special fundraising campaign in honor of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s birthdays.

The 2025 campaign supports the Assistance League of Los Angeles, a nonprofit helping children in need. From May 4 to July 4, the Global Sussex Supporters invite donations to uplift underserved youth across the city.

This effort follows the Sussex family’s guiding principle: “show up and do good.” It offers fans a heartfelt way to turn birthday celebrations into meaningful action.

A Legacy of Hope That Blossoms Beyond Birthdays

Back in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan visited the League’s Preschool Learning Center. There, they planted forget-me-nots in memory of Princess Diana. These blooms were more than symbolic. They represented seeds of hope for young children from low-income families.

Today, that legacy continues to grow. Donations will help support the League’s five key programs, including Operation School Bell, college scholarships, foster youth support, early education, and access to children’s theatre. Altogether, these programs serve over 22,000 children each year.

How Sussex Fans Turned Birthday Wishes Into Global Good

Since 2018, the Global Sussex Supporters—often known as the “Sussex Squad”—have transformed royal fandom into a powerful vehicle for charity. Their efforts began when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle requested wedding guests donate to their favorite causes rather than send gifts. That spirit of generosity caught on. Sussex fans around the world began organizing grassroots campaigns tied to the couple’s milestones.

When Archie was born in 2019, supporters launched a birthday fundraiser aligned with Harry and Meghan’s own public donation drive. Using hashtags like #ArchieDay, fans contributed to children’s organizations in the U.S., U.K., and South Africa. They repeated this approach for Lilibet’s birth in 2021 and each subsequent birthday. In 2022, fans raised over $20,000 for charities like Girls Inc. and CAMFED. By 2023, the Sussex Squad had expanded its reach globally, supporting organizations that reflected the family’s values—literacy, gender equity, refugee support, and mental health.

The Sussex Squad’s campaigns are not only heartfelt but strategic. From 40-day mentoring drives for Meghan’s 40th birthday to education fundraisers supporting Afghan girls, their charitable footprint continues to grow. Many campaigns are visually branded and widely promoted on social media, encouraging community participation and public accountability through donation receipts and impact reports.
