Meghan Sussex’s As Ever is heading back to the chocolate counter for the holidays, and this time there are 24 little doors involved. As Ever announced that it has once again partnered with celebrated Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés to create a limited-edition Advent calendar. Pre-orders open tomorrow, with delivery scheduled for November ahead of the traditional December countdown.

The brand teased the launch with a very As Ever message:

“Created in collaboration with celebrated Los Angeles chocolatier Compartés, our limited-edition Advent Calendar arrives tomorrow for holiday pre-order.

Reserve yours beginning tomorrow for November delivery, just in time for the season of anticipation to begin.

Some things are worth the wait.”

No price or full list of chocolates has been announced yet, so we will have to wait until the pre-order goes live for those details. What we do know is that Meghan Sussex and Compartés already have history, and their previous chocolates did not hang around for very long.

The First As Ever Chocolates Sold Out in Under an Hour

As Ever first teamed with Compartés for a limited-edition holiday chocolate collection in December 2025. That drop included three $12 bars built around ingredients already associated with Meghan’s food line: milk chocolate with shortbread cookies and bee pollen, dark chocolate with raspberry spread and sea salt, and white chocolate with flower sprinkles and hemp hearts.

All three bars sold out in less than an hour. The milk chocolate bar reportedly disappeared first, selling out within roughly 30 minutes.

That was quite a useful test run. Compartés describes its As Ever partnership as a “garden-to-bar collaboration” combining florals, California fruit and honey with chocolate made in small batches in Los Angeles. The company currently lists the previous As Ever collection as sold out.

Then Came the Valentine’s Collection

The partnership returned almost immediately. Ahead of Valentine’s Day in January 2026, As Ever and Compartés released another limited-edition chocolate collection.

That box included four flavours: Strawberry Spread Dark Chocolate, Raspberry Spread Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate Flower Sprinkles and Milk Chocolate Shortbread Cookies. The collection sold for $62.   Again, the idea was not merely “Meghan sells chocolate.” The chocolates were designed as extensions of products already sitting inside the As Ever world.

The raspberry and strawberry spreads became chocolate fillings or flavour combinations. The flower sprinkles moved from baking decoration into confectionery. The shortbread mix became part of a chocolate bar.

That kind of cross-category product development is smart because it makes the pantry products feel less isolated. Raspberry spread is no longer only something you put on toast. It can appear in desserts, gift boxes, chocolates and seasonal collections. And now we have an Advent calendar.

The Advent Calendar Makes Sense

This may actually be the most natural Compartés collaboration yet. Compartés already specialises in elaborate, limited-edition chocolate gifting, making an Advent calendar a natural next step. The chocolatier has been making chocolate in Los Angeles since 1950 and says its products are still handcrafted in small batches.

The design also makes this release more personal. The Advent calendar is illustrated with the Sussexes’ Montecito home, shown decorated for Christmas with glowing windows, a wreath and the pair of connected palm trees that have become associated with the family and the As Ever brand.

For As Ever, the format fits unusually well. Meghan has consistently marketed the brand around rituals, hosting, gifting and turning ordinary routines into small events. An Advent calendar does exactly that, while the image of the family home gives the product an intimate holiday feel that a standard chocolate box would not have.

It is also a substantial seasonal gift. Since its 2025 launch, As Ever has steadily expanded beyond the pantry. The original eight-product collection included raspberry spread, three herbal teas, flower sprinkles, crêpe and shortbread mixes, and limited-edition wildflower honey with honeycomb. It has since expanded into wine, candles, gift sets and other home products.

Chocolate appears to have become one of the brand’s reliable seasonal categories. The pattern is becoming clear: keep the permanent As Ever range relatively focused, then use limited collaborations to create something distinctive around holidays and gifting seasons.
