Kelly McKee Zajfen’s Fish-and-Chips Post Fuels Speculation She Is Visiting Meghan Sussex

Meghan Sussex did not attend the WellChild Awards, but she has already been spotted catching up with friends in the English countryside.

Meghan’s longtime friend Kelly McKee Zajfen shared an Instagram Story showing herself holding her infant son, Jack Oliver, beside a plate of fish, chips and peas. “First fish n chips! Loved!” she wrote. Kelly also posted a peaceful photograph from a tree-lined country path while carrying Jack.

The fish and chips suggest that Kelly and Jack are in Britain. The stone building and rural scenery prompted fans to wonder whether they were visiting Meghan, while one person jokingly decided the country path looked like Althorp, Princess Diana’s family estate.

That part is pure speculation. Kelly did not identify the location, Meghan does not appear in either photograph, and there is no proof that she took the pictures.

Still, a visit would make perfect sense. Kelly and Meghan have known each other for nearly 20 years. They initially met through Meghan’s former husband, later lost touch and reconnected after Kelly’s nine-year-old son George died from COVID-19 and viral meningitis in 2022. Kelly has said Meghan continued showing up for her throughout her grief rather than disappearing after the immediate crisis.

Their support has gone both ways. Meghan attended Alliance for Children’s Rights events with Kelly, while Prince Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation supported a tennis tournament established in George’s memory. When Kelly welcomed Jack in March, Meghan sent white garden roses. She later shared photographs of herself holding and kissing the redheaded baby.

This possible reunion comes as Meghan was photographed at The Three Horseshoes near Burford, Oxfordshire, with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. The trio reportedly visited the 18th-century pub on Monday afternoon while Harry attended the WellChild Awards in London. Ellen and Portia, longtime members of the Sussexes’ Montecito circle, now reportedly divide their time between California and their home in the Cotswolds.

So Meghan is not hiding away while Harry handles public engagements. She is settling her children into school, reconnecting with friends and apparently building a social life that crosses California and the English countryside.
