The feud between Cardi B and Nicki Minaj has reached a boiling point. What began as barbed comments online has now turned into a public storm filled with family insults, accusations against industry figures, and a flood of responses from fans. On day three, neither side shows signs of slowing down.
Nicki Minaj Intensifies Her Attacks
Nicki Minaj turned to X with a wave of fiery posts that reignited her feud with Cardi B. She claimed Cardi had mocked her young son and declared herself a defender of Black women against repeated disrespect. In one striking message, Minaj addressed Cardi’s daughter Kulture directly, calling her an innocent child while insisting she acted for a “bigger purpose.”

She mixed those emotional appeals with sharp attacks on the music industry, accusing executives such as Desiree Perez and even Jay-Z of undermining her tour. The blend of family grievances, cultural commentary, and conspiracy-laced claims electrified her fanbase, with the Barbz rallying behind her every word.
In another tweet, Nicki spoke directly to Black women, declaring that she would never allow anyone to disrespect them again. She also taunted Cardi with memes, suggesting that Cardi’s success comes from racial ambiguity. The posts stirred both outrage and support, and quickly spread across social media platforms.

Cardi B Fires Back with Her Own Accusations
Cardi B did not hold back in her response. She accused Nicki of faking solidarity with Black women while feuding with nearly every Black female artist in the industry. Cardi called her rival hypocritical, pointing out past clashes with artists like Beyoncé and SZA. She rejected claims of mocking Nicki’s son, insisting that she had simply been proud of her own children’s achievements.

Cardi demanded that Nicki produce receipts if she wanted to continue the accusations. She argued that Nicki and her fans misrepresented her posts, fueling unnecessary conflict. She also shared personal attacks, including claims about Nicki’s family background, and used images and videos of her children to highlight her points. The rapid-fire tweets revealed just how deep the animosity has grown between the two rappers.

Fans and Industry Observers Watch Closely
The feud has moved far beyond music. What began as sharp words between two rappers has turned into a cultural spectacle where racism, colorism, misogyny, and industry politics collide. Both fan bases fight to defend their favorites, but critics now ask how far this should go when children are dragged into the crossfire.
The language has been especially disturbing. Nicki Minaj called children “monkeys,” “roaches,” and “ugly,” words rooted in colorism and anti-Black dehumanization. Cardi B mocked children too, suggesting disability was a punishment and targeting Nicki’s son with cruel claims. Even the so-called “gums” insult shows how low the exchanges sank. These are innocent children, yet they were reduced to insults cheered on by adults.
Fans laughed while rhetoric straight out of eugenics was repackaged as entertainment. Saying disabled children are divine punishment is eugenics. Calling their parents “rotten” is eugenics. To see people applaud such cruelty while the U.S. government pushes surveillance databases on autistic children is chilling. Rap beef has normalized ableism in ways that should alarm everyone.
Meanwhile, accusations hurled at Cardi highlight another toxic pattern. Labeling her an “industry plant” is not just about her; it reflects how the term has become a weapon against women in hip hop, especially Black and brown women. Many worked for years to break through, yet when they finally succeed, critics erase their struggle by branding them manufactured. These women are harvesting the success they earned.
Taken together, the feud reveals more than personal animosity. It shows how fan culture can normalize cruelty, how industry politics weaponize misogyny, and how dangerous ideas slip into mainstream conversation under the guise of “shade.” Black and brown women already face the worst maternal health outcomes in the United States, with higher risks in pregnancy and greater chances of having disabled infants. For those same communities to applaud rhetoric framing disability as divine punishment only shows how twisted this feud has become.
