A woman from County Fermanagh has appeared in court accused of making false claims about Prince Harry. Ann Marie Donnelly, 36, from Derrin Road, Enniskillen, faced charges at Enniskillen Magistrates Court for wasting police time. She allegedly contacted emergency services between August 1 and 11 with repeated false reports that Prince Harry had committed crimes.
Charges and Bail Conditions
Prosecutors outlined two charges. The first accused Donnelly of causing wasteful employment of the police by knowingly making false 999 calls. The second alleged that she persistently misused a public electronic communications network between July 31 and August 12 to cause annoyance and anxiety. District Judge Alana McSorley remanded her on £200 bail and prohibited her from using the 999 service except in genuine emergencies. Donnelly, who represented herself, confirmed she understood the charges and said she was not seeking legal representation at this time.
