When Eamonn Holmes fell off his chair in that viral GB News clip, it was a slapstick moment that quickly overshadowed his role as a commentator. But it also served as a fitting symbol for the larger unraveling of those who have built careers out of targeting Meghan Sussex. Holmes isn’t the only one to take a tumble—other high-profile Meghan Sussex haters are grappling with their own misfortunes. Vanessa Feltz’s new talk show has floundered with dismal ratings. Meghan McCain’s revamped media project hasn’t caught on with audiences. Even ITV’s Loose Women, once a weekday staple, has been rocked by deep cuts and a shrinking schedule.

Vanessa Feltz’s Show Fails to Find an Audience
Vanessa Feltz’s new Channel 5 show, Vanessa, premiered in March 2025 with high hopes and glossy promises. But the reality fell flat: the debut episode drew just 83,000 viewers, paling against Channel 5’s Storm Huntley and Home and Away, and far behind ITV’s Loose Women with 686,000 viewers. By May, the show’s Monday episode was down to 62,000 viewers. Channel 5 bosses have held crisis talks and considered a revamp, but the future of the show looks shaky.

Feltz’s talk show has struggled against mainstream daytime rivals and hasn’t found much success with social media audiences either. Viewer complaints about the set’s bright pink palette and its derivative format compared to Loose Women have circulated widely. Posts on social media echo this sentiment, describing the show’s ratings as “tumbled” since the outset, even if official figures remain unconfirmed. In radio, Feltz’s LBC show fares better with 318,000 weekly listeners. But that’s a distant second to Sangita Myska’s weekend show, which closed out with 507,000 listeners in March 2024—24% higher than the previous autumn and a sign of Feltz’s waning influence.
Loose Women’s Cuts
ITV’s Loose Women has faced its own reckoning in 2025. A sweeping cost-cutting initiative slashed the show’s run from 52 weeks to 30 weeks per year, aligning it with school term times to trim expenses. The changes merged the editorial team with those behind Lorraine and This Morning, leading to more than 220 job losses across daytime television. Presenters Ruth Langsford (ex-wife to Eamonn Holmes), Kaye Adams, Nadia Sawalha, and Denise Welch have spoken out about their fears. Langsford, Adams, and Sawalha—frequent critics of Meghan Sussex—are especially rattled by the changes, while Welch, who has defended Meghan, remains a rare voice of support on the panel. Sawalha has called the cuts “brutal,” and reports say Coleen Nolan reels from the changes because the show forms a core part of her earnings.
Despite this turbulence, Loose Women continues to air at 12:30 PM on weekdays and even launched a podcast in May. The show’s vulnerability reveals how recent upheavals have rattled a once unassailable program, reflecting the challenges facing Feltz’s show and the changing power dynamics in daytime TV.

Meghan McCain’s Struggles
Meanwhile, across the Atlantic, Meghan McCain’s media ambitions have struggled to take off. Her podcast, Meghan McCain Has Entered the Chat, originally launched in 2023, was rebranded as Citizen McCain and merged with a low-performing YouTube show hosted by Mark Halperin’s 2WAY network.
The rebranded show, now co-hosted with Miranda Wilkins, airs twice weekly and covers politics and pop culture. Yet it has seen only modest viewership, with episodes reportedly struggling to break 5,000 views. McCain, once a high-profile figure on The View, now faces a new reality: audiences aren’t tuning in.

McCain once said, “I love Princess Kate,” while taking potshots at Meghan Sussex. The irony? McCain’s own career is now forced rebrand (something she insulted Sussex for doing) to salvage a project that’s losing steam. Unlike Sussex, her podcast tops charts and her brand As Ever products sold out in 45 mins. McCain’s new show merges from low viewership, not strategic growth. Her loud criticism rings hollow when her own brand wobbles.

A Curious Turn of Fate for Meghan Sussex’s Critics
A poetic twist runs through the careers of Meghan Sussex’s most vocal critics. Vanessa Feltz, who once delighted in mocking Meghan’s Netflix series, now watches her own show’s ratings plummet. Meghan McCain, whose media brand once thrived on taking aim at Meghan, struggles to hold an audience with her rebranded podcast and YouTube show. Even Loose Women, a home for barbed commentary about Meghan and Harry, has scaled back and merged staff as cost pressures grow.
This pattern has been ongoing. Sharon Osbourne left The Talk after a heated on-air argument over Meghan Sussex and Piers Morgan’s attacks on her. CBS cited Osbourne’s behavior, particularly toward co-host Cheryl Underwood, as out of step with their workplace values. And of course, there was Piers Morgan’s notorious meltdown on Good Morning Britain, which ended with him storming off the set and parting ways with ITV altogether.
These stories show that the loudest voices against Meghan are not untouchable. While they spent years taking aim at every move she made, they now face their own challenges. Many would call it karma at work, and it seems to be happening again and again.
