The same outlet also reported that Meghan “entered the country in secret”, casting the UK trip as a concealed royal story while adding a pointed, judgmental edge to otherwise ordinary family scenes.
The Daily Mail similarly emphasized the “chaos” surrounding Harry’s return, noting that “hours before he arrived in London, an invitation to stay at Buckingham Palace was withdrawn”, and that Meghan “delayed her arrival and entered the country secretly”. These details were presented alongside the family photos, framing them not as intimate nostalgia but as part of a larger royal drama.
Yet, according to the British tabloids. the Sussexes are so “irrelevant” that somehow Meghan’s Instagram photos curiously landed across the website headers of both the Daily Mail and The Sun. They did not bury these latest photos in the royal section; instead, they placed them on their front pages. Funny how the woman they claim nobody cares about keeps getting prime digital real estate.
Why Certain Outlets Are So Angry
The photographs undermine weeks of speculation on whether Meghan and the children would travel to Britain. King Charles’s household sat on RAVEC as the committee denied Harry automatic police protection, while also denying Harry room at Buckingham Palace.
From the outside, the King’s sudden eagerness for a reunion, after reports that the Sussexes would stay with Diana’s family, made the timing look politically convenient and deeply self-serving. After a week of snubs and petty games unbecoming of a head of state, the palace may also have recognised how damaging the optics would be if Diana’s family welcomed the Sussexes while the King remained distant. Hence the media pivot from “humiliation” and “Harry is alone” to “poor grandfather wants to see grandchildren.”
The real sting: Meghan denied the vultures the exclusive shots they craved. She bypassed paparazzi, avoided palace briefings and ignored anonymous sources. She took the photos herself and shared them when she was ready.

Why is it that Meghan can offer us such genuine photos, whilst all Kate Middleton’s photos are either digitally enhanced, or worse altered, or formal beyond belief?
I’m thinking in particular of the contrast between Lili in the air, at the swimming-pool which is so genuine against William jumping up the Norfolk Dunes with his 3 kids which screams digitally.

from the monetized engagement and clicks, which follows.
