Samantha Markle is preparing to face questions in a deposition scheduled for September 23, 2025, in Polk County, Florida. Court records show she must appear remotely by Zoom to answer inquiries from creditors represented by UHG I LLC. The notice, filed in the small claims division, directs her to provide financial records spanning the past three years, including tax returns, bank statements, and insurance documents.
This case is unrelated to her ongoing defamation lawsuit against Meghan Sussex. The case sheds light on her financial obligations and creditors’ attempts to examine her assets. The deposition order shows how legal scrutiny now extends beyond her public battles with her half-sister and into her private finances.
Creditors Push for Transparency
The legal filing requires Samantha to hand over extensive documentation. She must produce photocopies of income tax returns, banking records covering the last twelve months, and property-related documents. These requests are standard in debt collection cases but carry significant weight when applied to a figure who has attracted media attention.
Failure to comply could result in the court authorizing asset seizures. While the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act restricts abusive tactics by creditors, debtors remain legally required to provide full financial disclosure once a court issues an order. In Samantha’s case, this means the deposition will serve as a critical step in determining what resources remain available to satisfy outstanding claims.

What makes this moment stand out is the timing. The deposition comes as Samantha remains embroiled in litigation over defamation claims she brought against her half-sister. While the two cases are unrelated, their overlap in the public eye ensures her financial troubles will receive heightened attention. For Samantha, the legal spotlight now extends in two directions at once, complicating her efforts to control her narrative.

If she can’t pay them, how is she paying lawyers???
I believe someone is funding the continuing defamation lawsuit against Meghan. Why I don’t know as she’s not asking for a lot money that would have an adverse affect on Meghans bank balance. It’s as if whoever it is just wants to keep up this inconvenience /this itch. If she can’t pay her bill how is she able to afford to keep this lawsuit going on years now??? Lawyers aren’t cheap!!!!
