Megan Thee Stallion has finally walked the Victoria’s Secret runway. And I think we can safely say she understood the assignment. The Houston rapper appeared at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 18.

She performed two of her biggest songs, Her and Body, while wearing sparkling silver lingerie, embellished stockings, heels and an enormous pair of metallic wings.

And the confidence was extraordinary. This is particularly satisfying because Megan has apparently wanted to participate in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show since she was a teenager.

Megan Had the Confidence of a Supermodel

What made Megan’s appearance so entertaining was her runway walk. She wasn’t imitating anyone else; she didn’t look uncomfortable, and she certainly wasn’t treating the performance as if she had something to prove. She walked with a confidence that made the whole production feel more exciting.

There’s a difference between wearing an impressive outfit and knowing how to perform in it. Megan understands that difference. She’s spent years developing a stage presence built on movement, personality, and confidence, and those qualities translated beautifully to the runway.

I especially loved that she didn’t abandon her musical identity for the fashion show. She was still Megan Thee Stallion. Just with enormous silver wings.

Her Performance Deserved More Time

My one complaint? I wanted more.

Megan performed “Her” and “Body,” two songs perfectly suited to the atmosphere. Both celebrate confidence and self-expression, and both gave her a chance to blend choreography with the runway presentation. But the performance felt short, especially since she was one of the evening’s most charismatic entertainers. I would happily have watched another song. Or two. Perhaps even an entire Megan Thee Stallion concert with models walking between performances.

The fashion show has always leaned heavily on music, and some of its most memorable moments have involved major performers interacting with the models rather than simply singing in the background. Megan was particularly good at that. She made the runway feel like part of her stage.

Victoria’s Secret Is Still Rebuilding Its Image

There’s also a broader conversation about the brand itself. Victoria’s Secret has spent years trying to move beyond its reputation for promoting a narrow definition of beauty. The company has introduced a more diverse selection of models and performers, and it has tried to present its fashion show as something more inclusive.

Those changes are welcome, but they don’t automatically erase the brand’s history. For years, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show promoted an extremely specific body ideal. The women were expected to look a particular way, and the entire spectacle revolved around presenting that image as the ultimate standard of attractiveness.

Megan represents something different. She’s confident, athletic, outspoken, and unapologetically herself. Her appeal doesn’t depend on fitting an old-fashioned idea of how a lingerie model should behave, and that’s exactly why her appearance worked. She brought personality to a show that has sometimes relied too heavily on spectacle.

Megan Is Having an Excellent Career Moment

Megan has also been expanding her professional ambitions. She’s worked with major fashion and beauty brands, developed business partnerships, and continued building a career that extends well beyond recording music. Her Victoria’s Secret appearance fits naturally into that progression.

But what I appreciate most is that she still seems genuinely excited when something she wanted finally happens. Success can become routine for celebrities, another campaign, another award, another invitation. Megan’s enthusiasm makes these moments feel more personal. She wanted those wings. She got them. And then she walked down the runway looking as though she owned the entire building.

I hope this isn’t her last appearance. Because if Victoria’s Secret wants to make its fashion show exciting again, Megan Thee Stallion is exactly the kind of performer it should be inviting. Just give her a longer set next time.
