Maddox Jolie-Pitt Seeks to Drop His Father’s Name

Another week, another one of Brad Pitt’s children makes it crystal clear they want nothing to do with him. And yet, somehow, some people will still find a way to blame Angelina. Maddox Jolie-Pitt, the eldest of the six children, has reportedly filed paperwork to drop “Pitt” from his surname. He joins a growing list of siblings who have already distanced themselves from their father’s name. The pattern is impossible to ignore. But the excuses? Those keep coming.

Here’s what TMZ reported.

Maddox filed paperwork requesting a legal name change … specifically, dropping the “Pitt” from his last name and making his name simply “Maddox Chivan Jolie.”

The legal change comes on the heels of Maddox dropping the Pitt from his professional name … he’s listed as “Maddox Jolie” in the credits of Angelina’s recent flick, “Couture,” where Maddox worked as an assistant director.

Maddox joins some of his other siblings in dropping Pitt as a last name … Shiloh changed her name legally … Zahara dropped it informally … and Vivienne removed it from the playbill for a Broadway production she worked on.

Maddox’s request for the name change has yet to be granted … but it’s likely only a matter of time before a ruling comes down.

The Pattern Brad Pitt’s PR Cannot Explain Away

Honestly, the Brad Pitt situation is infuriating. He was accused in court filings of choking one of his children and striking another on a 2016 flight. The FBI investigated. No charges were filed, but the allegations are public record. Yet his career never missed a beat. Cancel culture only seems to work on women and those without a powerful PR team.

What really gets me is how the media and public blame Angelina. People cry parental alienation. But Maddox is 24, Shiloh 20, Zahara 21, adults. Four of Brad’s six children have distanced themselves from his name legally, professionally, or informally. That’s not manipulation. That’s pattern recognition.

“There are two sides to every story.” Sure, but when one side includes an FBI report and multiple adult children independently removing your surname, take the hint.

Reports also suggest Brad treated his adoptive kids differently from his biological ones after the split, making more effort with the latter while sidelining Maddox, Pax and Zahara. His biological children saw that and lost respect for him. Siblings protect each other.

People love to hate Angelina. She was blamed for the affair as if Brad weren’t a married man who made his own choices. She’s called a homewrecker, a manipulator. Meanwhile, Brad walks red carpets, stars in movies, dates younger women, and barely anyone mentions what was alleged on that plane. The kids have made their choice. When most of your children want nothing to do with you, that’s a verdict.
