The fight over security between King Charles and Prince Harry has exposed more than a family rift—it’s revealed a crisis of trust and control. After Harry’s BBC interview on May 2, 2025, media outlets rushed to portray him as a son desperate for reconciliation. But what they left out was the most critical fact: Charles refuses to speak to him. Even more damning, the King holds the power to protect his son and grandchildren—and has repeatedly chosen not to.
Prince Harry’s legal fight over UK police protection revealed more than just bureaucratic failings. It exposed how Charles, through the royal household, helped strip Harry of security. It also showed how that decision extended far beyond Britain. In Harry’s own words, other governments were quietly told not to protect him either. The monarchy not only turned its back on his safety—it tried to make sure others would too.

The Palace Knew What It Was Doing
When Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020, his security status didn’t just change. It collapsed. Overnight, he went from the highest risk rating to the lowest. There was no updated risk review. No input from the Risk Management Board, which normally conducts those assessments annually. For five years, Harry has been denied that process—even as threats against him and his family increased.
At the heart of that failure is RAVEC, the secretive committee that controls royal security. Harry didn’t learn until 2021 that the royal household—his father’s institution—holds a seat on that board. According to him, that presence was not symbolic. He revealed that when the RAVEC chair met with the palace in 2020, a planned risk assessment was abandoned. What followed was a stripped-down, inconsistent “case-by-case” arrangement that left Harry vulnerable on every visit to the UK.
This wasn’t the first time the system tried to keep Meghan Sussex unprotected either. In 2017, RAVEC initially denied her protection as she prepared to join the royal family. That decision was only reversed after Harry pushed back. His family had known the risks. They chose to ignore them.

Charles Can Fix This, But Chooses Not To
Prince Harry says he never asked King Charles to intervene. He simply wanted him to step aside and allow experts to do their jobs. That request was denied. To this day, every security request Harry makes for UK visits must pass through the royal household. The same institution that cut him off still controls his access to safety.
Despite this, the press will have the world believing that Charles misses his mixed grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet. Yet he has never invited them for a visit. Harry says he won’t bring his wife and children back to the UK under these conditions. The risk is too high. The protection is too weak. His children cannot see their grandfather because their grandfather refuses to act.
Harry also revealed something far more disturbing. When his UK protection was removed, the palace made it clear to other governments that Harry was not to be supported abroad. That’s not just negligence. That’s orchestration. If Diana died after being left without proper protection, why would the crown push other nations to do the same to her son?
A Media Machine That Covers for the Crown
Harry’s BBC interview laid out damning facts, but by the time the media repackaged it, the truth was buried under spin. Headlines fixated on his hope for reconciliation while ignoring that King Charles still refuses to speak to him.
More importantly, they downplayed how deeply royal interference shaped security decisions that put lives at risk. These same outlets once led a public campaign against Harry’s protection by falsely claiming it would cost taxpayers £20 million. That figure, cited by angry constituents in letters to MPs, turned out to be inflated by a factor of 18 or 19.
When the #StochasticTerrorists in the #ToxicBritishMedia do FOI to FOREIGN govts for H&M security protection it IS as insidious as it seems

NEVER forget the media pushed the narrative that H&M should lose UK security then celebrated when #KingCharlesTheCruel granted their wish pic.twitter.com/4rj5ctvALy
The disclosure process exposed the lie—but not before damage was done. And somehow, while Harry was cast as an unaffordable burden, the government still offers taxpayer-funded protection to private citizens who’ve never held public roles.

The media also seemed willfully ignorant with a major contradiction. When Harry traveled to Colombia and Nigeria in 2024, he received full security support from both governments. This rattled the UK press. They knew Harry wasn’t supposed to get protection. The palace had made that clear. Yet these countries acted on risk, not royal spin. They treated Harry like someone worth protecting.
This inconsistency—between how foreign states responded and how the monarchy demanded silence—raises serious questions. If other nations understood the risks and stepped up, what excuse does King Charles have?
Final Thoughts
The story isn’t about reconciliation. It’s about power, control, and the price one man pays for choosing his wife and children over the institution that raised him. The King Charles and Prince Harry security conflict isn’t just a legal dispute. It’s a portrait of betrayal. One where a father refused to protect his son, and then had the gall to say he missed him.

Brilliant dissection of the real issues regarding Prince Harry’s security
King Charles has single-handedly destroyed the standing of the monarchy to the point now that they are just seen by many as a bunch a petty petulant children in the pockets of the british media. He destroyed Diana’s life and did not protect her after the divorce to the point that she was killed being chased to her death. And now we come to see a better picture of how he has treated his own flesh and blood Harry, shame on him. To say he is the worst king, maybe not, considering what some of his ancestors have done executing wives etc ..but he certainly will go down in history as a very flawed person with low morals and no humanity. I hope William will wake up and try to break this toxic cycle for his own family. Charles and Camilla have done so much harm to both those boys and like many I hope one they can reconcile but William needs to realise that the survival of the monarchy will only happen if he genuinely accepts his role in all this, leaking and allowing people from his circle to leak just like his father does not help the survival of the monachy it weakens it.
Totally agree with you. Brilliant analysis of the whole sad saga. I hope many of the brain washed U.K. public get to read this. Thank you
The royals acted like the Mafia. If you leave we will punish you. This is what the have done to Harry evil emails . No security We will take you back without your wife. No so much s family as a cult.
The various houses up to the Windsors (formerly Sax Coburg and Gotha) have been rooted in abuse and violence. The current abusers, the monarch and his heir, will destroy themselves and the monarchy if they will not vanquish their malignant behavior towards the Sussexes.
