Megan Thee Stallion has added another major partnership to her growing business portfolio. The Grammy-winning rapper has become Gymshark’s first-ever celebrity ambassador, joining the fitness brand in a multi-year agreement announced on October 13.
And honestly, this is one celebrity partnership that makes complete sense. Megan has spent years sharing her workouts, discussing the importance of exercise and encouraging women to embrace strength and confidence.
She even calls herself the Hot Girl Coach. Now she’s getting paid to do something she was already doing. The partnership launches with a global campaign called Megan Does Gym, featuring the rapper training alongside women from Gymshark’s fitness community.
But while the announcement has been enthusiastically received, the promotional photographs have also prompted an interesting conversation about the way fitness brands present women’s bodies.
According to Hypebae’s October 14 report, Megan has joined Gymshark’s athlete programme as its first celebrity ambassador. The multiyear partnership includes a campaign photographed by Jack Bridgland, featuring weight training, Pilates, high-intensity workouts and Megan’s signature exercises. The company will also offer selections of Megan’s favourite activewear through its website and stores.
Megan explained that fitness has become an important part of her life and that she wants to encourage women to find routines that suit them.
Megan Is Actually a Convincing Fitness Ambassador
Celebrity fitness partnerships can be rather ridiculous. Sometimes a brand hires a famous person who has never demonstrated any particular interest in exercise. Suddenly they’re appearing in advertisements holding dumbbells and talking about their passion for wellness.
But with Megan it’s different. She has consistently shared videos of herself exercising, lifting weights and doing challenging lower-body workouts.
She talks about discipline and the mental benefits of physical activity. Her fitness journey has become part of her public identity. So Gymshark isn’t introducing an entirely new version of Megan Thee Stallion. It’s investing in something her audience already recognises.
That is smart marketing. And I suspect the brand understands exactly how valuable her influence could be. Megan has a devoted audience of women who admire her confidence, humour and determination.
Those qualities are particularly useful when selling activewear. Because fitness marketing isn’t simply about persuading somebody to buy leggings. It’s about convincing them that they belong in the gym.

The Business Opportunity Is Enormous
Gymshark has also announced that Megan’s red SoftSense shorts will launch on October 22. The company has created a dedicated shopping page featuring her favourite pieces. That gives the partnership a clear commercial direction.
And I think Megan’s business instincts deserve recognition. She has already established herself as a successful musician. Now she’s expanding into partnerships that connect with her wider interests. Fitness. Fashion. Beauty. Lifestyle.
These are all areas where her audience already pays attention. The important thing is that the partnership feels authentic rather than forced. Megan doesn’t need to pretend to be somebody else to sell Gymshark clothing.
She can simply be the woman who has spent years encouraging people to exercise, feel confident and look after themselves. And perhaps that’s the strongest part of the campaign.
Megan’s success isn’t simply about having a particular body. It’s about the work she puts into her career and the confidence she has developed along the way. That is a much more interesting message than another photograph of a celebrity looking perfect in leggings.
