Olandria Carthen is making effortless beauty look exactly that: effortless. In a new MAC Cosmetics campaign, Olandria gives fans a glimpse at her “Lazy Girl Sunday” routine, built around radiant skin, minimal effort and makeup that still looks polished.

At the centre of the look is MAC’s Studio Radiance Skin Tint Stick in Rich 1, a serum-infused complexion product designed to offer buildable coverage while keeping the skin hydrated. MAC says the formula delivers up to 24 hours of hydration, making it an easy fit for the kind of low-maintenance makeup days the campaign is selling.

Olandria pairs the tint with Strobe Beam Liquid Blush in Good Vibes, Lip Pencil in Chestnut and Lipglass Air in Snobbish, keeping the rest of the routine just as simple. Together, the products create a soft, glossy finish that still feels polished without looking like a full face of makeup.

Directed by Alana O’Herlihy with makeup by Ngozi Edeme, the video leans into the appeal of quick, swipe-on beauty. Olandria applies the products with little fuss before heading out, giving the campaign a relaxed feel that matches the products themselves.

The concept is also incredibly cute. There is something almost nostalgic about the commercial, with a soft, feminine feel that recalls beauty and fashion ads from the late 1990s and early 2000s. It feels playful rather than overly polished, and Olandria carries that tone effortlessly.

That continuing relationship makes even more sense when you look at Olandria’s own history with the brand. She told PEOPLE that MAC had been part of her beauty routine long before fame, recalling wearing the brand’s Ruby Woo lipstick as a young adult. She described working with MAC at this level as a “full-circle moment.”

That is part of what makes the partnership feel so natural. MAC is one of those beauty brands that already carries a lot of nostalgia for people. Many of us have a MAC memory, whether it was buying our first lipstick, visiting a MAC counter or finally finding a foundation shade that worked. Olandria has that history too. Now she has gone from using the products herself to becoming one of the faces representing the brand.

The “Lazy Girl Sunday” concept also works because it gives the Skin Tint Stick an obvious purpose. This is makeup for the days when you do not want a full face but still want your skin to look even, radiant and put together.

That is apparently close to how Olandria actually uses it. She told PEOPLE that she reaches for the Skin Tint Stick on lighter makeup days when she does not want anything heavy but still wants a little glam while running errands. She and makeup artist Ngozi Esther Edeme also tried the product together during the campaign shoot and were surprised by how little they needed to achieve the coverage they wanted.

The campaign also reflects how far Olandria’s relationship with makeup has evolved. She told PEOPLE that she once considered herself a “natural girl” and only began experimenting more seriously with a full face during college. She has since become known for a much more expressive beauty style, particularly her love of blush.

That evolution makes the MAC partnership feel like more than another celebrity endorsement. Olandria has gone from learning how to build a full makeup routine in college to fronting campaigns for one of the biggest names in cosmetics.

And the reaction suggests MAC knew exactly what it was doing. Fans have praised everything from the campaign’s soft visual direction to Olandria’s camera presence. That is arguably the strongest thing a beauty campaign can accomplish. Olandria is not simply getting people to watch the commercial because they like her. She is making them interested in the product.

At this point, MAC and Olandria are starting to feel like a natural pairing. The brand gets a recognisable new-generation face with genuine enthusiasm for its products, while Olandria gets another campaign that plays directly to one of her biggest strengths: making glamour look remarkably easy.
